ORGANISERS REPORT FOR THE
3rd MEDITERRANEAN FOOD AND DRINKS EXHIBITION 2007
The 3rd Mediterranean Food and Drinks Exhibition which was
organized from 19-22 April 2007 at the Cyprus International
Fair Grounds ended with great success.
More than 9.000 visitors had the chance to taste new recipes
of local and international cuisine to try a variety of wines
from local and foreign winery exhibitors and to view a wide
spectrum of products and equipment on display that serve the
catering Industry as a whole.
The exhibition was also visited by more than 450 trade visitors who
are directly involved in the catering and hotel industry and who commented most favourably regarding the size and diversity of the exhibition and of
the high quality of the exhibitors with whom some have concluded
commercial deals both for the local market and for exports and others
established important contacts for future business.
In total more than 400 companies were represented at the exhibition
by 101 exhibitors from Cyprus and abroad, 26 of whom were
direct participants from abroad.
The 3rd Mediterranean Food and Drinks Exhibition 2007 was
organized in collaboration with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce
& Industry and was placed under the auspices of the Ministry
of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
The 4th International Mediterranean Food and Drinks Exhibition
2008 will be organized from 14-16 November and the organizers
have already embarked on the organisational procedures and
marketing programme in order to give ample time to the decision
makers of the catering industry for early planning and budgeting
of their participation to the exhibition.
